Amazing canyon. Lots of ruins. There are cairns that help you to find the safest way down and up the canyon walls.

After several days in Bears Ears National Monument, this was my favorite canyon. The top portion was amazing. Nice alcoves and a beautiful stream. But we spotted some ruins high in the cliffs and found a way up to them and what we discovered was magical. It's not for the faint in heart and required a couple rock climbing moves to get between the various sections of Anasazi ruins. It seemed as if we were the first to stumble onto this after the Anasazi left (though we know we weren't). Corn cobs, storage bins made of rock, symbols and inscriptions on the wall, finger marks from molding clay, pottery shards, and rock fences to catch stuff and probably little ones were all wonderfully preserved. If you go here, please be very careful and please leave it exactly as you found it.
