With rapids ranging from Class III to V this section of Johnnies is one of the favorite Class IV’s in Alabama. Begin this trip along Cherokee Country 275 road and make your way through rapids ranging from Class III to V and multiple drops. The most well known rapid and the largest is Gorilla Constrictor. Many of the rapids are close together allowing limited rest in between rapids. This trip ends by floating into Little River Canyon with the take out located at Canyon Mouth Park. By using the the Little River Canyon Bridge gauge on Rt. 35, you generally want 12" which is about 2100-2200 cfs.
