Located in Preston, Alabama along AL 79/Scottsboro highway, this trip begins from the Opposite Mile Boat Ramp. From here paddle through this slightly developed inlet of Lake Guntersville and out into the main larger body of water. Go along the banks of Preston Island before reaching Boshart Creek (another inlet of Lake Guntersville). Paddle into Boshart Creek enjoying this less developed section of lake guntersville with great views. Continue to a small local boat launch site at the end of McDonald Drive Road. Treat this as a one-way trip or an out-and-back (shown here). Be sure to bring your fishing gear as Lake Guntersville is a popular destination for Kayak Fishing.
