Located along the border of Alabama and Georgia, Walter F. George Reservoir, also known as Lake Eufaula, is a 46,000 acre lake created on the Chattahoochee River. Camping, paddling, swimming and fishing are popular activities along the lake. This particular trip begins from the Cheneyhatchee Creek Recreation Area. Located just off the north end of the Eufaula Avenue bridge, there is a boat ramp that can be used at this recreation area. From here travel south along the shorelines of the reservoir to White Oak Creek Recreation Area and Campground. Take out at the boat ramp located at the White Oak Campground just off AL Highway 95.
