Located along the border of Alabama and Georgia, Walter F. George Reservoir, also known as Lake Eufaula, is a 46,000 acre lake created on the Chattahoochee River. Camping, paddling, swimming and fishing are popular activities along the lake. This particular trip begins from the Barbour Creek Landing boat ramp located at the north end of the Eufaula Avenue bridge. From the boat ramp travel up the Barbour Creek region, which is a side branch of the reservoir located on the Alabama side. Enjoy exploring side sloughs and fishing before ending back at the same boat ramp at Barbour Creek Landing.
