West Point Lake, along the Alabama-Georgia border, is a man-made reservoir, created by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The dams original purpose was for creating hydroelectric power but has been opened to the public for recreational use. This is a good fishing lake and includes a number of different fish species including a variety of bass, catfish and crappie.
