This hike is located in the heart of Tempe and is a great choice for a truly urban hike. The trail leads up to Hayden Butte, also known as "A" Mountain, a scenic overlook of the Phoenix area. From the top there are views of Tempe Town Lake, Sun Devil Stadium, the Superstition Mountains, Four Peaks, and South Mountain. There are multiple access points to the trail for hikers to use. The trail is located in a preserve so it is required to stay on designated trails at all times. The trail is often hiked in conjunction with the Tempe Town Lake trails for a longer adventure.
