This short out-and-back ride follows the Lower Red Rock Loop Road in Sedona to the entrance of Red Rock State Park. The roadway passes through scenic red rock country where lots of prominent rock formations can be seen all around. The ride follows a gradual downhill grade along a two-lane highway with a narrow shoulder so pay attention to traffic heading into the park. The road does continue on completing a loop back to Highway 89A but this requires riding a short section of unpaved roadway.
