Big Creek is a Kiamichi River tributary that flows through the Kiamichi Mountains in Ouachita National Forest. It is seldom run and requires heavy local rain to raise it to navigable levels. There are several Class II-III rapids, steep ledge drops, blind turns, deadfall blockages and other potential hazards to navigate. Paddlers should be experienced in navigating and judgment calls. About a half mile below the put-in is a low-water bridge that may require a portage. Put-in off US Hwy 59 in AK, takeout is US Hwy 59 in Page, OK.
