This small reservoir sits in hardwood forest at the edge of Jonesboro. The scenery here is pleasant but the shoreline is what one would expect of a state park recreation destination, it’s not really a wilderness experience. There is a reasonable amount of shoreline to explore given the lake’s small size and paddling here is made more enjoyable by an enforced no-wake restriction for powerboats. There are good fishing opportunities and the lake is regularly stocked.
