This long run can be paddled in a day if you’re feeling motivated but might be better enjoyed as an overnighter. If you do intend to camp along this artery check and heed weather reports, as Crooked Creek is capable of flash flooding; camp on high ground. It is generally a mellow little stream with plenty of twists and turns to keep it interesting flowing predominantly through farmlands but the fields are obscured from view by wooded banks that exist in a natural state. As with most Arkansas streams willow thickets and fallen trees are a common hazard.
