DeGray Lake is a large reservoir on the Caddo River impounded in the Ouachita hill country. Although close to the towns of Bismarck and Caddo Valley the area surrounding the lake consists of woodlands with little development. This area of the lake is accessed from the brushy landing boat ramp and offers paddlers miles of irregular shoreline with deep branching coves to explore along with some small islands. The shoreline here is completely free of development and would make a good destination for some canoe camping.
