Illinois Bayou provides an entertaining reach of whitewater through Arkansas hill country. The scenery is good and surroundings are largely unspoiled; the farmlands you pass are well obscured by the stream’s wooded banks. This run is dependant on heavy local rainfall to reach optimal flows for paddlers.
