Main Road 5 is a gateway trail to many other trails in the area. This trail itself requires a permit as do many others that branch off from this road. The Ouachita Mountains provide beautiful scenery as well as some dispersed camping spots. Some larger rocks should be expected and a stock SUV with high clearance and 4 low is recommended.
