Millwood Lake is a large reservoir in southern Arkansas surrounded by woodlands, wetlands and farms. Much of the western edge of the lake is hemmed by flooded forest that provides shelter for a variety of fish species. The lake is known for having the greatest variety of bird species in the region, counted at over three hundred varieties. The area accessed from Paraloma Landing offers timbered shoreline, much of it flooded, and large reaches of open water.
