Millwood Lake is a large reservoir in southern Arkansas surrounded by woodlands, wetlands and farms. Much of the western edge of the lake is hemmed by flooded forest that provides shelter for a variety of fish species. The lake is known for having the greatest variety of bird species in the region, counted at over three hundred species. The area accessed from Saratoga Landing is characterized by shoreline hosting residential development as well as thick woods and open water.
