Norfork Lake is a large reservoir located in northern Arkansas created by an impoundment of the North Fork River and its tributaries. The shores of the lake vary from unspoiled wooded hills to swanky residential developments. The area of the lake accessed from Shoal Creek offers some near-civilization paddling surrounded by hardwood-forested hills.
