Norfork Lake is a large reservoir located in northern Arkansas created by an impoundment of the North Fork River and its tributaries. The shores of the lake vary from unspoiled wooded hills to swanky residential developments. The area of the lake accessed from Wood Point Use Area is a jumping off point to several long winding bays that are largely surrounded by woodlands existing in a natural state. This area also has some large stretches of open water and small islands to explore.
