This paddle takes you through miles of dense hardwood and evergreen woodlands in the Ozark National Forest. The area around this stream exists in a natural state free of development. Like most creeks in this area the North Fork of Illinois Bayou only experiences runnable flows when there have been recent significant rains. Be on the lookout for downed trees and willow thickets that block the creek.
