Richland Creek is known as a challenging stretch of whitewater with serious consequences for errors. This section is particularly swift with many class II and III rapids and a drop of at least five feet that should be scouted before committing. A heavy wetsuit of drysuit is recommended, as you are most likely to find runnable flows during the cold season. The scenery around Richland Creek is excellent, unspoiled Ozark hill country covered in dense woodlands.
