This is a mellow flatwater paddle through Arkansas countryside. Agricultural lands surround the river with wooded hills nearby and wooded banks. There is the potential for willow thickets blocking the river as well as fallen trees that create a hazard. Be on the lookout for the handful of low water bridges that may require a portage.
