With great views of the bay area below, South Rock is located on Mount Tamalpais’ East Peak. Routes here are old school slabby top rope and trad lead climbs that are easier than they appear. Approach from the East Peak parking area and hike 10-15 minutes to the old fire lookout tower. From the tower, head south along the hiker trail before splitting off to the right.
