This looped trail mostly follows the Colorado Trail and Shinglemill Trail just north of Little Scraggy Peak. This hike begins by following the Colorado Trail through a forest of ponderosa pine, lodgepole pine, and aspen groves with open pocket and views. From the Colorado Trail, you'll take Tramway Trail, which intersects Shinglemill Trail, through similar terrain. Shinglemill Trail is far more exposed; one of the largest forest fires, the Hayman Fire, burned the hillside in 2002. This hike follows mostly a singletrack path with a short dirt road hike at the end.
