Herman Gulch Trail winds through a thick forest before entering meadows where wildflowers bloom in late July. It intermittently follows alongside a small creek through a canyon to Herman Lake and below Pettingell Peak. From beginning to end this trail will reward you with stunning views of the Continental Divide. Snowshoers be aware and cautious of the avalanche paths this trail crosses.
