The Mesa Cortina Trail begins in Silverthorne and travels through aspens and meadows into the Eagles Nest Wilderness Area. The route follows South Willow Creek and is ungroomed but sometimes tracked by other skiers and snowshoers. It has very mild elevation gain and offers amazing views of the Silverthorne and Ptarmigan Mountains. The destination ends in a charming meadow perfect for lunch. Beyond the meadow lies a steep climb for the adventurous explorer.
