Sandbeach Lake sits below Mt. Meeker. The route to is well maintained with moderate elevation gain. You will be hiking in the trees most of the time mixed with some interesting rock formations, boulder fields, meadows and aspen groves. This trail does not see crowds like some of the others in the area. The lake is surrounded on two sides with sand, thus its name. Camping is available along the way but requires a permit.
