This is a popular loop trail that climbs from a desert terrain just beyond Red Rock Canyon and into the forested foothills of the Colorado Front Range. The trail climbs through a forest of old pines and alongside mountain streams to an overlook with views of Colorado Springs below and the foothills of Pikes Peak in the distance. Do not leave valuables in your vehicle, unfortunately they have been vandalized in the past.
