According to Pike National Forest, the trail through Waldo Canyon is the most heavily visited trail within the Pikes Peak region. This trail ascends the mountainside above Waldo Canyon where you'll find views of Pikes Peak in the distance before descending into the canyon and past a small meadow where Waldo Hog Ranch once resided. In 2012, this area was affected by forest fires.
