This is a popular place to recreate. The beginning of the route is along a dirt road that is mellow and easy. Near the dam the trail turns to singletrack and gets more technical with some steep climbs along with sand and rocks through an overgrown trail. The trail intersects with the Colorado Trail where there is endless riding to be had.
