When riding the slopes of Iron Hill, you follow the ancient footsteps of indigenous peoples who came here to mine jasper for their stone tools and weapons. Today, it is a strikingly prominent topographic feature, visible from afar. It is the highest point south of the Piedmont on the Delmarva Peninsula, reaching 320 feet above sea level. On this ride you will make a loop through the woods to a picnic area near the summit, and then ride around the perimeter of the park on beautiful wooded slopes.
