The Nanticoke Wildlife Area is primarily managed as a hunting area, and the trail are mostly travel routes to deer stands tucked into the wooded corners of small clearings. Hiking here during deer hunting season is not advised, but during the rest of the year walking the paths is greatly enjoyable. This is an easy stroll through mixed hardwood and pine forest along the edges of fields and hedgerows. There is a nice blend of rural and woodland landscape.
