White Clay Creek State Park is a wonderful escape from the encroaching development of New Castle County. The park’s lush greenery and wild streams offer a refreshing change of pace. There are many miles of trails for visitors to explore and visit historic sites and scenic vistas. This trail traverses through beautiful forest, parallels White Creek with many great views, offers many opportunities to view wildflowers, and passes open meadows and fields. The Mason-Dixon Line is a demarcation line forming part of the borders of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and West Virginia and represents the cultural border between the Southern and Northern United States. The trail continues into Pennsylvania with more great views of the wild river. There is a parking lot at both ends of the trail and a few in between as well if you wish to hike one-way.
