Kissimmee Prairie Preserve protects a 54,000 acre stretch of the largest remaining Florida dry prairie. The area is home to abundant and diverse vegetation and wildlife. The state preserve is also a good spot for star gazing. The campground offers sites that provide some comfortable conveniences while still in a wilderness setting. Amenities on site include water, electricity, picnic tables, accessible restrooms, showers, laundry, and a dump station. There are also equestrian sites available. The sites cost $16 per night. Reservations are available but must be made a day in advance. Sites that are not reserved are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
