Lake Iamonia is a 5700-acre subtropical prairie lake located in Leon County, northeast of Tallahassee, that offers lots of shallow, plant-filled waters for paddling. Prairie lakes empty naturally during dry periods so water levels will fluctuate a lot and paddling conditions will vary depending on current water level. The shallow lake is a great place for fishing and wildlife viewing.
