This section of Brier Creek offers a beautiful and often secluded paddle though primeval forest. Most of the paddle is secluded but along your way you will see a few cabins in this rugged forest terrain. The creek is obstructed by logs in many places which may force you to get out and move around, but more often than not other paddlers have cut through the logs. The trip is gorgeous, canopied in many places by the oaks, cypress, river birch and gum trees all draped in Spanish moss. Water-birds gather at the sandbars which seem to pop up at nearly every bend.
