In the northern most borders of Georgia Lake Chatuge sits, a 7,500 acre man-made reservoir that was created in 1942 with the completion of Chatuge Dam. Lake Chatuge has a number of private coves and peninsulas which offer a variety of great spots for boating, swimming and fishing. The beauty of the lake and surrounding area is well known; in fact it inspired individual at the time of the reservoirs creation to name the valley "Enchanted Valley".
