This adventure on Crooked River offers a short and enjoyable paddle. It will be important to time this paddle with the tides and wind, which will make the trip a lot more enjoyable. Watch for osprey, bald eagles, dolphins and other coastal critters. There is a guide in the state park building that explains the different routes available. Be aware that there is a parking fee at the Crooked River State Park boat ramp. Also, be apprised that if you are planning on camping you must make reservations well in advance since there is a cap on the number of campers allowed on the island
