Flowing through sheer bluffs and tan sandbars this section of the Flint River offers typical, but beautiful, Georgia Piedmont scenery. Wildlife is plentiful including a variety of water-birds. Outside of the occasional john-boat, there are usually only canoes and kayaks on this shallow portion of the river. Oaks, Sweet gum, and pine trees, all draped in Spanish moss, line the banks. Sandbars along the way provide great spots for breaks and fishing spots. Be aware that there are plenty of tree snags on this adventure.
