The Flint river is arguably the best paddling river in the state of Georgia, and competes with the Chattahoochee as Georgia’s most vital waterway. The slow steady flow along with quality inputs and outputs make this river a very user-friendly paddling experience. The coastal plain’s scenery is beautiful and the banks of this part of the river are heavily wooded with cypress trees stretching to the sky. The lower shaded areas are covered in ferns and lush groundcover. The clear, dark waters of the Flint River, the steep bluffs, along with the rocky shoals create a wonderful paddling atmosphere for this adventure.
