This family friendly lake loop hike is another Fort Mountain State Park winner. The trail runs past picnic areas, cabins, swimming areas, fishing docks and campgrounds. Near the southeast end of the lake one can access the Goldmine Creek and Gahuti trails via the Creek Connector . The hike features an array of different species of water and forest birds. The north side of the lake showcases a variety of aquatic plants, as well as aquatic and semi-aquatic animals.
