Kinchafoonee Creek is a tortuous paddle that offers sandbars at almost every turn. The creek’s banks are heavily wooded with oak, cypress, river birch and sycamore trees, which often create a canopy, over the water. The creek’s sandy bottom is visible through the blue-translucent waters, all contrasted by limestone rocks. Be aware that fallen trees are common along this part of the stream. Also, there is a fee at Creekside Drive takeout.
