Lake Blackshear is a reservoir created by Warwick Dam built on the Flint River in 1930. The lake is around twenty miles long but never gets more than one mile wide. There are many cypress trees that weren't cut down upon the reservoirs creation which continued to grow and stick out of the lake. This is a good fishing lake with a variety of species including many different species of bass, bream, catfish and crappie.
