This section of the renowned black-water Satilla River offers a very tortuous paddle through heavily forested terrain. The river is famous for its’ beautiful white sandbars, which provide great spots for lunch, fishing or even camping. There is an abundance of wildlife along the way, including a variety of water-birds, deer, raccoon and beavers. The rivers banks are rich with twisted oaks, tupelo gum, and cypress trees.
