The Tallapoosa River offers an easy paddle through wooded Piedmont valleys. The steep banks of the river are heavily wooded with sycamore, river birch and oak. Several gravel bars and rock outcrops add to the mountain river-like scenery along this adventure. Trees tend to pile up at the Broad Street and Liner Road bridges, which can present a tricky challenge. Also, be aware that the put-in and take-out can be difficult since the banks are steep.
