Redfish Lake is located south of Stanley, Idaho off State Route 75 in Custer County. This picturesque lake is placed in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area in a high glacial drift-filled valley with superb recreation. Facilities include Boat ramps, campsites, food service, gift shop, instruction, parking, rental equipment, restrooms, vault toilets, a visitor center, and day use areas for swimming. Steelhead, cutthroat, bull trout, and sockeye salmon are stocked in the water. Redfish Lake is the largest lake in the Upper Salmon Basin and gives an important migration spot for waterbirds. Conifer forests and the Sawtooth Range surround the lake, making for spectacular scenery and a relaxing place to visit.
