The trails within Aerie Crown Forest lead hikers and bikers over rolling hills and through scenic woods in a suburban area southwest of Chicago. The multi-use crushed gravel trail starts at the southwest corner of Lake Ida and completes a loop through the woods. There are picnic areas available in the preserve and lots of great spots around the lake for stoping and enjoying the natural scenery. There are some connecting spur trails along the main loop that can be used to explore a little more of the area.
