This floodplain lake is located on the Illinois River and is a designated State Fish and Wildlife area and designated conservation area that provides excellent opportunity for wildlife viewing and birdwatching. The lake is very shallow with an average depth of 4 feet. The area offers a boat launch, picnic areas, and campgrounds. The area is popular for fishing and hunting.
