Big Bureau Creek is located in northern Illinois and offers excellent paddling opportunity through heavily wooded terrain and open farmlands. The river offers lots of riffles along the way and a few bigger waves just after the Hennepin Canal siphon that may require portaging for less experienced paddlers. The put-in is located at the historic Red Covered bridge north of Princeton. There take-out spot for this ride is located at the Country Road 1150 bridge north of Tiskilwa. There are put-in and take-out spots further upstream and downstream from the access points for this paddle allowing for longer adventures along Big Bureau Creek.
