Paddling this section of the Big Muddy River is not as popular or scenic as the section starting from Turkey Bayou but the river still offers some nice scenery and opportunity for enjoying nature. The access from Riverside Park is very convenient and the take-out at Turkey Bayou is also very accessible making the trip easy to shuttle. The trip mostly travels through open agricultural terrain but does gain some momentum towards the end as it passes Little Grand Canyon and comes upon the Turkey Bayou area.
