This short loop hike is located in the Ned Brown Forest Preserve, a large natural area that provides excellent scenery and landscape to include wetlands, woodlands, marshes, large ponds, streams, and a large lake. The first part of the loop follows the Busse Woods Bike Trail and the second half of the trail follows a dirt path that travels through thick woodlands of the Busse Forest. The forest preserve hike provides lots of opportunity to do some birdwatching and wildlife viewing. There are picnic sites and restrooms along the trail.
